On June 12, the Asia-Australia Business College of Liaoning University held the 2nd Session of the First International Academic Forum on Language Competence Training in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education, a special event under the Action Plan on Building an Independent Knowledge System of Philosophy and Social Sciences with Chinese Characteristics. Relevant faculty members of the Asia-Australia Business College attended the seminar.

Professor Fan Changzheng elaborated on and discussed topics such as "Digital Empowerment: The SMART Interactive Foreign Language Teaching and Evaluation System." Professor Fan shared valuable insights on creating the SMART teaching model, which encompasses S (Self-directed), M (Motivated, stimulating learning through interest), A (Adaptive, supporting tiered and adaptive teaching), R (Resource-enriched), and T (Technology-embedded). During the experience exchange and discussion phase, participating faculty engaged in lively debates and exchanges on how technology-supported platforms such as the Unipus Campus Platform, iWrite Writing Platform, and Rain Classroom can create highly participatory and personalized learning experiences for students. It was unanimously agreed that the specific approach of the Digital Empowerment-SMART education paradigm helps establish a multi-dimensional and integrated online-and-offline blended teaching model, significantly enhancing the advanced and innovative nature of college English courses. The discussion also explored how to embed educational elements into every aspect of teaching to achieve unit-based educational goals.

As the second session of the First International Academic Forum on Language Competence Training in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education—a special event under the 2024 "Development Year" Action Plan on Building an Independent Knowledge System of Philosophy and Social Sciences with Chinese Characteristics—this seminar provided faculty with substantial benefits from experience sharing and exchanges, offering new perspectives and valuable inspiration for teaching and research at the college.
