On the morning of August 31, the Asia-Australia Business School convened a meeting on teaching and academic affairs for the Fall Semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. The session outlined key priorities and clarified responsibilities to ensure the smooth execution of this semester's academic work and to prepare for the upcoming undergraduate education evaluation.
The meeting was attended by Dean Zhao Deqi, Vice Deans Xie Mingyi and Ma Yali, along with program directors, department chairs, and all members of the academic and administrative teams.
The meeting began with Dean Zhao Deqi summarizing the progress and completion of the college's evaluation work, emphasizing that the preparation of assessment materials to be finalized this semester is the top priority. He stressed that all course instructors and relevant staff must strictly follow the university's requirements in preparing each document, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy. Through clear division of tasks and close collaboration, everyone is expected to contribute to enhancing the quality of education and teaching in the college, thereby fully preparing for the comprehensive evaluation.
Vice Deans for Academic Affairs Xie Mingyi and Ma Yali respectively outlined key tasks in their areas of responsibility, including course registration, academic early warning, teaching materials, exam arrangements, academic guidance sessions for each grade, recommendation for exemption from entrance exams, and international affairs. They clarified specific requirements and underlined that all academic and administrative leads should strengthen communication and coordination to ensure the efficient completion of all tasks.
At the end of the meeting, all participants discussed and exchanged views on challenges encountered in their respective duties. Goals and plans were further clarified, and tasks and responsibilities were refined, equipping the team with renewed enthusiasm to tackle this semester's academic and administrative work.
