On June 4, 2024, the Asia-Australia Business College of Liaoning University hosted a seminar titled “Pathways to Monetizing Supply Chain Transaction Data in the Context of Digital Credit” at the C3 One-Stop Student Community. The session was presented by Dr. Tang Dan from the College's Department of Finance, who shared insights and facilitated discussions on how to unlock the value of supply chain transaction data. Faculty members and student representatives attended the event.
Dr. Tang began by outlining relevant policies concerning data as a productive factor and analyzing current developments in data monetization. She then examined challenges in the valuation and marketization of data elements based on practices in both on-exchange and off-exchange data trading. Finally, she explored strategies to leverage the value of supply chain transaction data within specific operational contexts.
This seminar marked the fourth session in the 2024 Annual Series on Academic Paper Writing—a key initiative under the college's “Action Plan for Scientific Research Activities” aimed at promoting the development of an independent knowledge system in philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. The workshop fostered a highly engaging academic atmosphere with lively discussions, offering new perspectives to support the college's research advancement.
