The 20th Academic Workshop of the School of Economics was held on April 16 in Room 317 of the Puhe Campus Office Building. The session was chaired by Professor Wang Weiguang, Associate Dean of the School of Economics.
Lecturer Tang Dan from the Asia-Australia Business College of Liaoning University was invited to deliver an academic report titled "Research on Supply Chain Data Strategy Considering Data Valuation in a Unilateral Market". The presentation focused on unilateral (seller-side) markets for data products within e-commerce supply chains, proposing three distinct data strategies to promote the valorization of data elements and facilitate digital collaborative development in supply chains. The study offers retailers and suppliers clearer guidance on data strategies, helping them better respond to market changes and demand fluctuations, thereby enhancing overall supply chain efficiency and competitiveness.
Professor Zhao Deqi, Dean of the Asia-Australia Business College, provided insightful comments on the report. He emphasized that innovation, particularly in digitalization, is central to forming new quality productive forces. He noted that the report addresses a timely topic by examining issues related to digital transformation in supply chains, demonstrating both cutting-edge relevance and originality. The theoretical models and empirical methods employed in the research adhere to academic standards, offering valuable reference for students engaged in scientific studies.
Professor Wang Weiguang, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Economics, delivered concluding remarks affirming the theoretical and practical significance of the report. Drawing on his own experience, he also provided constructive suggestions for refining the research focus, content, and methodology.
The seminar was hosted by the Faculty of Economics of Liaoning University and organized by the Asia-Australia Business College. It was attended by relevant leaders from units under the Faculty of Economics as well as representatives of faculty and students.
