To implement the university's alumni work conference spirit and the directives of Party Secretary Pan Yishan on strengthening alumni engagement, AABC held the “Moments in Time, Voices of Alumni” Career Planning Sharing Session (Grassroots Edition) on the morning of October 19 in Room 231, Zexing Building. The event was part of the college's Alumni Brand Building Initiative, designed to deepen alumni-student connections and guide young students in developing sound career values and life goals.

The session was attended by Ma Shuang, Secretary of the Party Committee of AABC; Wang Nan, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice Dean, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission; and distinguished alumni Sang Tianming (Class of 2016) and Cai Bofan (Class of 2021). Also present were Sun Hongjing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee; Wang Lin, Organizational Officer; counselors He Wei, Guo Xiaojun, Song Xiaojun; and student representatives.

At the beginning of the event, Ma Shuang and Wang Nan presented appointment certificates to Sang and Cai, formally naming them as Growth Mentors for AABC students.

Both alumni reflected fondly on their university days and shared insights from their professional journeys. Sang Tianming, now Head of the Songhua Lake Street Fire and Rescue Station in Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone and recipient of the title “Iron West Youth Craftsman,” described his transformation from student to frontline firefighter. Through vivid rescue stories, he illustrated how the belief in “braving danger and serving the people” has been forged in real-life missions, while also offering students practical fire safety knowledge.

Cai Bofan, currently a Level-4 Principal Staff Member in the Office of the People's Government of Huanggu District, Shenyang, discussed the challenges and rewards of grassroots governance. He emphasized the importance of communication, coordination, and pragmatism, noting that a solid professional foundation and adaptability are essential for career success. In the Q&A session, students actively raised questions about the qualities needed for grassroots work, psychological adjustment during career choices, and skill preparation in college. The alumni's candid sharing helped students gain clearer perspectives on their future paths and strengthened their resolve to contribute to society.

In her concluding remarks, Ma Shuang expressed heartfelt gratitude to the alumni for their engagement. She noted that the grassroots level is the best classroom for youth growth, and that alumni achievements embody the spirit of “integrating personal ideals into national development.” She reaffirmed the college's commitment to enhancing alumni services, expanding platforms for exchange, and further advancing the Alumni Brand Building Project to channel alumni wisdom and strength into the university's “Double First-Class” initiative and the revitalization of Liaoning Province.

This sharing session exemplifies the college's efforts to improve its alumni mentorship system and leverage alumni as role models in student development. By showcasing real-world career stories, it provides students with valuable insights into diverse professional sectors and practical guidance for career planning.

Looking ahead, AABC will continue to organize a series of alumni-centered activities, broaden alumni networks, and draw inspiration from their growth stories to foster global-minded, socially responsible, and high-caliber graduates.
