As a graduate in International Accounting, Li Shi is also a serial education entrepreneur. He has authored publications such asEmbarking on the Path to English Reading and is the first Scholastic-certified “Featured Children's English Picture Book Reading Mentor” in China. Besides, in 2020, he represented Asian picture book educators in dialogues with Caldecott Medal-winning authors, to promote parent-child reading methodologies.
He previously served as Director of the English Learning Department and Manager of Strategic Planning at New Oriental Education & Technology Group. In 2015, he co-founded the online English learning platform “Youlin UCourse”, which earned a A-level funding from Yu Minhong. Since 2018, he has co-founded “Snail Picture Books” with other 5 teachers, which is China first platform advocating parent-child guided reading, now accredited as an official evaluation body for “Picture Book Reading Instructors” by the Chinese Academy of Management Science.Since then, hehas beencommitting himself to the cause of family parent-child reading.
