On April 17, the Asia-Australia Business College of Liaoning University held an outstanding alumni sharing session titled "How to Leverage Available Resources for Breakthroughs" in Conference Room 231 of the college. The session was delivered by Qi Fang, a 2008 graduate of the Asia-Australia Business College, and attended by faculty members and students from various grades and majors.
Qi Fang began by sharing his personal growth journey, from being an international student to a graduate and then an intern, and from working in a private accounting firm to a listed company and eventually an Australian investment bank. Each stage of his experience provided valuable insights and practical advice for young students. He then encouraged his juniors to pay attention to the resources around them and shared strategies for effectively utilizing these resources, including seeking guidance from teachers, accessing online courses, exploring recruitment websites, utilizing campus career centers, and reviewing the websites of major Australian banks and accounting firms.
This sharing session was part of the first "I Am an Asia-Australian" Alumni Forum, under the 2023 Talent Cultivation Series Action Plan of the Initiative to Build an Independent Knowledge System of Philosophy and Social Sciences with Chinese Characteristics. The event provided invaluable insights into internships and job-seeking for students planning to study in Australia. Qi Fang's growth journey also served as an excellent reference for those aspiring to study abroad or seek employment domestically. Faculty and students engaged in lively discussions on various aspects of academic and career development both in China and abroad.
