On November 9, 2024, Liaoning University's Asia-Australia Business College and Victoria University jointly organized an international academic symposium titled "Teaching • Research • Management" in Conference Room 231 of Zexing Building at Puhe Campus. Nearly thirty faculty members and students from both Chinese and international sides attended the event. The symposium was chaired by Ranjith Ihalanayake, Dean of the Business School at Victoria University, and Hu Gang, Vice Dean of the Asia-Australia Business College.
Professor Ma Shuang, Party Secretary of the Asia-Australia Business College, delivered a keynote speech titled "Cultivating International Talents: Integrating Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship from the Perspective of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Institutions." During the symposium, a total of ten faculty members from both sides presented thematic reports covering a wide range of academic topics, including teaching reform, artificial intelligence, climate change, information shocks, supply chain data strategy, and local government debt management. These presentations showcased the abundant achievements in teaching and research resulting from the collaboration between the Asia-Australia Business College and Victoria University.
In the free discussion session, participating faculty engaged in lively exchanges centered on the report contents, delving deeply into hot and challenging issues. The atmosphere was dynamic, with new perspectives, methods, and ideas in teaching and research continuously emerging.
This symposium marked the first offline teaching and academic exchange event between the two universities since the pandemic. It provided a valuable platform for learning and interaction between faculty and students of Liaoning University's Asia-Australia Business College and Victoria University, playing a significant role in advancing the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
